Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to join our growing and dynamic construction management firm. The ideal candidate will be an outgoing, intuitive, and highly motivated professional with a talent for developing relationships and facilitating change. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to effectively read people and situations, and a commitment to accuracy, thoroughness, and quality are essential.
We are looking for a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, multifaceted team environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong bias for action and an ability to tackle challenges with enthusiasm. Taking ownership and accountability for one's work and taking pride in delivering high-quality results are crucial aspects of this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Leadership: Strive for purposeful excellence in all job duties, demonstrating proven history of success in construction site management. Be willing explore and to adapt to new challenges.
- Team Management: Oversee the coordination and management of subcontractors, ensuring effective communication and maintain smooth project operations. Responsible for creating a collaborative work environment on site.
- Risk/Schedule Management: Monitor project progress, identifying potential challenges on site and coordinate this information with leadership team. This includes managing contracts with a focus on ensuring adherence to project scope and schedule.
- Safety Compliance Officer: Maintain a safe job site at all times. Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular safety inspections, and ensure subcontractors are adhering to safety protocols.
- Quality Control: Ensure that project meets the highest quality standards by fully understanding, adhering to the scope of work, and review quality control plans. Working closely with on-site team to promote attention to detail, ensuring customer satisfaction. Responsible for continuously improving construction processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in construction and industry knowledge
- Experience in the trades as a Foreman or Skill Worker
- Planning skills including but not limited to resource allocation
- In depth understanding of local, state, and federal code regulations
- Effective leadership abilities
- CSL required
- OSHA-10 and OSHA-30 certified
