Summer Speech Language Pathologist

School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - ESY Program

Amergis Educational Staffing is currently seeking an experienced and dedicated School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to support students during a 5-week Extended School Year (ESY) program in Boston, MA . This is an excellent opportunity for an SLP who enjoys working in a collaborative, school-based environment and providing both evaluation and therapeutic services to meet diverse student needs.

Position Details

• Location: Boston, MA

• Program Dates: July 6, 2026 - August 7, 2026

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 30 hours per week

• Pay Rate: $60/hour , based on experience and licensure

Position Overview

The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide in-person evaluations, direct therapy services, and consultative support to students in accordance with their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans . Services will be delivered in a variety of educational settings to ensure student access, engagement, and success throughout the ESY program.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person speech and language evaluations using appropriate assessment tools

• Provide individualized therapy and consultation services aligned with IEP and 504 Plan goals

• Deliver services based on each student's unique communication needs

• Collaborate closely with other related service providers, teachers, and school staff

• Consult with parents and caregivers to support carryover of strategies across settings

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including:

• Lesson planning and prior preparation

• Therapy session notes for each student

• Student attendance records

• Adhere to all district, program, and Amergis documentation and compliance requirements

Requirements & Preferences

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license

• School-based or pediatric experience preferred

• Strong organizational and documentation skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams

• Willingness and ability to travel between school sites as needed to support student needs

• Safety-Care Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)

The Speech-Language Pathologist in the school setting is responsible for performing student evaluations as well as providing and documenting therapy services in accordance with the plan of care developed for each individual student and the physician's orders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Active Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) Licensure in the state of assignment required

• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred and may be required by state/contract.

• Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

• Current CPR if applicable

• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

• Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
