Shop Laborer

Position Summary

A shop laborer position includes various manual tasks associated with the shop operations.

Responsibilities:

• Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and near misses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value – Safety, first in everything we do.
• Complete daily checklist of inventories.
• Clean and maintain shop vehicles.
• Unload freight deliveries as needed.
• Parts runner as needed.
• Must have a knowledge and understanding of the procedures to use the tools and equipment safely and properly.
• Organize and maintain shop and yard in a neat and orderly fashion.

Qualifications:

• Must have 2-5 years of Heavy/Civil Construction experience.
• Must be able to follow verbal instructions.
• Maintain good health status and flexibility to bend, push, pull, stoop and/or twist.
• Must be able to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions.
