Levitate Surf Camp Counselor

Position Description:

Each Levitate Camp (surf, skate, and creative) exists to give the next generation of rippers and creators to enjoy the joys of a creative, outdoor-centric lifestyle. As a counselor, it's your job to have positive, impactful interactions with campers while spreading the joys of an active, creative, ecologically focused mindset to the next generation. Counselors work with group leads and managers to ensure that each camper is having a ball, seizing a unique opportunity to have a lasting impact on each camper they meet, Levitate Counselors are put in a position to affect the Local and Levitate community for years to come.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure the Safety of every camper in their designated group
• Have a blast and share the stoke - make sure your campers are given every opportunity to have the best week of their year!
• Assist with setup / breakdown and all daily tasks as directed
• Engage with Campers and Parents in a friendly, well informed, and enthusiastic manner
• Engage in all camp activities and model a stoked, responsible attitude for campers while doing so
• Contribute to a positive and fun environment for campers in their designated group
• Read/ understand the daily schedule and successfully facilitating the listed activities
• Be well versed in current First Aid and CPR procedures according to the Red Cross.
• Report any signs of neglect or abuse in a camper to active manager Pat Cullen
• Any and all other related and unrelated and evolving tasks and responsibilities as determined by leadership
• When asked to and agreeing to perform a different job of the same caliber, accomplish all assigned tasks of that job with the same care as your original role
