DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Exciting opportunity to provide new models of care for walk-in/urgent care access including days, evenings and weekends. The new CHA CBHC Malden program provides behavioral health evaluation, resource referral, and initial treatment services for individuals of all ages.

The Supervisor, Social Work provides day-to-day coordination and oversight of the staff in the CBHC, reporting to the Program Manager of the CBHC Urgent Care and the Director of Urgent Care/Access Services. Runs team huddles and meetings as needed, performs triage, assigns cases and monitors caseloads, is the point person for clinical and administrative issues that arise on the team (such as Section 12), is responsible for clinical oversight of team patients, and provides handoff to the Program Manager on patient and staff issues. Acts as a liaison with the Mobile Crisis Intervention Team and Psychiatric Emergency Service when in the supervisory role.

The Supervisor, Social Worker functions as a clinical social worker in the service, providing evaluation and treatment services for patients with particular focus on providing servicesto preschool and latency-age children and adolescents and their families, and will provide supervision to staff for this population. The diversity of the child/adolescent patient population served in addition to the treatment modalities utilized requires interdisciplinary expertise and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Social Work

Licensure: Current MA licensure as LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)

Acute Service experience is strongly preferred

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred

Applicants able to demonstrate fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, Haitian Kreol, and other languages are preferred

When required, must be credentialed by the CHA Medical Staff for practice in relevant clinical practice areas, such as youth/child treatment, individual, couple, family, or group psychotherapy.

Physical Skills: Successful completion of physical agility assessment.

Work Experience: Minimum of three years post masters degree, in clinical or human service setting with relevant populations

Experience working with children, adolescents, and families is strongly preferred
