Duties and Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing new business opportunities. The role will be responsible for:
Achieving or exceeding sales quotas through IT solution and services-focused sales to new clients/logos.
Building a sales pipeline through cold calling, prospecting, and driving attendance to various marketing events.
Researching the market, understanding the competitive landscape, and identifying and acquiring customers with a focus on the small and midsize business space (SMB).
Conducting qualifying research on prospects, identifying key contacts and decision-makers, and company demographics.
Understanding the business models and selling propositions across different verticals like manufacturing, finance, retail, consumer goods, and Quick Service Restaurants (QSRs).
Establishing contact and engaging with C and VP Level executives.
Managing and building on the relationship with partner sales teams (like Microsoft, AWS, Google, SAP).
Partnering with the internal pre-sales technical team on sales strategy.
Assisting in writing high-quality proposals and responses to RFPs.
Requirements for the role:
Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or another related discipline. A degree in Business Analytics or a similar field will be an advantage.
Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in IT solution and services selling or consulting sales.
Experience in selling data and analytics solutions and Microsoft suite of solutions, including Business Intelligence solutions.
Experience in selling SAP solutions (nice to have).
Proven ability to acquire new client logos (The candidate must have a strong personal network that can be leveraged for prospecting).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to take the lead and drive opportunities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team.
