Valink has a fully-owned subsidiary in London, UK, delivering its research operations. The company is spun-out from the University of Oxford, with a mission to revolutionize the field of bispecific antibody drug conjugates (bsADC) against cancer.

Job Description:

Beyond traditional business and corporate development, the role also includes opportunities for strategic input and contribution to US expansion and company operations. This is a unique opportunity for a high calibre and motivated business development professional in an early to intermediate stage of their career to experience and drive fast-paced innovation and partnering, working closely with senior leadership of the company and reporting directly to the CEO. This role will play a pivotal role in shaping Valink’s global partnering strategy, driving key collaborations and establishing Valink’s US presence. You will join a company at the perfect time to accelerate its business development - This role combines rapid growth with immediate recognition and long-term potential.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Boston-based CEO to build and execute business development strategy
  • Strategically position Valink’s assets and platform for collaboration and out-licensing
  • Evaluate in-licensing opportunities and technologies
  • Structure partnering flow and sourcing, handle follow-ups, assist in closing transactions
  • Coordinate and assist in contract and agreement review
  • Attend conferences and business development meetings to drive partnering flow
  • Assist wider executive team with market assessment and competitive intelligence analyses
  • Collaborate with CEO and UK subsidiary in expanding US presence and reach, including input into operational expansion

Candidate Profile

  • BSc, MSc or PhD in relevant field (e.g. chemistry, biology, medicine),
    with relevant experience in consulting and/or biopharmaceutical industry
  • Strong analytical ability, communication and presentation skills
  • Excitement about strategic positioning of assets and identifying opportunities to collaborate with external partners to develop medicines
  • Exceptionally organized, with attention to detail
  • Proven track record of project delivery in a timely manner
  • Travel to conferences, business development meetings as necessary Preferably established in Boston and/or New York pharma BD&L ecosystem
