Operator

Faith Lutheran Church has three cameras, a digital mixer, and an ATEM mini pro to

enable us to provide quality livestreaming of our worship services. We are in search of a

livestream operator to operate the system weekly and troubleshoot the system when

necessary. This person is technically skilled, enthusiastic about the potential for digital

ministry, and relates well with the community both online and in-person. This person is a

team-player, organizer and trouble-shooter.

There are currently two worship services from September - June at 9:15AM and

11:00AM and one worship service mid-June-Labor Day weekend at 10:00 AM.

Salary is $25/hour for 10-12 hours/month (maximum 15 hours/month) of work.

Responsibilities Include:

1. Operate the livestream on Sunday mornings and for special services/events as

needed (such as Christmas Eve or annual church meeting) and/or ensure there

are trained volunteers to operate the equipment.

2. Trouble-shoot and serve as point-of-contact for the streaming equipment

3. Enlist, train, and schedule volunteer livestream operators

4. Perform or delegate weekly set-up and pre-test of livestream, recording, and

microphones, including perform battery checks on microphones/receivers and

replace as necessary.

5. Perform weekly pre-installation tasks including Stream Key creation.

6. Perform weekly post-installation tasks such as post-production editing.

7. Adjust set up for contemporary service between services (i.e. change mixer

settings, camera angles, etc.)

8. Monitor sound during worship and make adjustments to sound and camera

angles as necessary; train volunteers to do the same

9. Ensure that each worship service is streamed to YouTube and Facebook,

recorded and archived.

10.Embed all copyright info in stream or link as soon as possible after the livestream

finishes. (Copyright information will be provided by others.)

11. Maintain inventory of equipment

12.Investigate possibility and implement if possible additional livestream directly to

the church website

13.Maintain appropriate emails/passwords used for streaming in a secure manner

Skills Required:

- experience with audio/visual systems and in particular OBS livestream/video recording

software or willingness and ability to learn quickly

- an understanding of IT networks would be beneficial

- ability to work as part of a team with other staff and volunteers at the church

- excellent organization and dependability

- ability to manage volunteers

- good communicator

- strong interpersonal skills

- effective problem solver

Rate/Hours:

This position is part time with a maximum of 15 hours a month at a rate of $25/hour.

Schedule:

Sunday mornings are required and midweek Christmas Eve and special services as

necessary. Other time is flexible.
