Med/Surg RN Job Details

• Location: Englewood, CO 80113 – Prime location near Denver, ideal for Colorado nursing professionals seeking travel RN jobs.
• Unit: Med/Surg Orthopedic (MS ORTHO 611), Main Hospital, 9 South Floor
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 9/29/2025 – End: 12/29/2025)
• Employment Type: Travel RN (Locum Tenens)
• Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Number of Beds: 20
• Electronic Medical Record: Meditech
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $1680 - $1730

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Colorado or compact state (required for Colorado nursing jobs)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience, preferably on a surgical or orthopedic unit
• Proven ability to independently manage a 5-patient assignment
• Experience with dressing changes and aspiration procedures
• Pain management and orthopedic nursing experience preferred
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude

Med/Surg RN Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, including elective orthopedic and trauma patients
• Perform core Med/Surg nursing procedures such as dressing changes and aspiration
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient experience and clinical outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Meditech EMR
• Adhere to hospital policies and unit guidelines to maintain safety and best nursing practices
