Overview:

Family Nurse Practitioner

Zaheen Medical Center is seeking a part-time Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join our team. You will focus on providing high quality patient care as part of a healthcare team

This is a 2 day a week position. The schedule is Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30am to 5:00pm. We offer excellent salary and benefits including malpractice, $1000 CME assistance, 1 week paid time off and major holidays.

Pay Range: $65-$80/ Hour based on experience

Responsibilities:

The Family Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing primary care services, conducting onsite health risk assessments, providing wellness education, supporting individual lifestyle changes, and helping individuals manage their chronic conditions.

The position may also be responsible for the oversight of the care delivered by the clinical staff within Zaheen Medical Center. Maintaining a collaborative relationship with the center’s staff is a key ingredient to success in this position.

• Diagnose and treat acute, episodic or chronic illnesses
• Prescribe all necessary medications and treatments
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations of patients
• Develop and implement patient management policies and procedures
• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
• Communicate with collaborating physician or specialist regarding patient care

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in Family Medicine and or Urgent care preferred

• Ability to build rapport with patients
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong leadership qualities
• Fluent in English and Spanish

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience or equivalent
• Ability to be proficient in both speaking and writing in English and Spanish (Preferred)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current and unrestricted state licensure
• Certification and current NP license to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• DEA
• MCSR

Education

• Master's Degree level Family Nurse Practitioner program with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the Advanced Practice Nurse role
• Or in select states, Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (or other health-related Master's Degree or equivalent experience together with Bachelors of Science in Physician Assistant Studies) with current National Board Certification and State of Employment license to practice in the role
