Job Description

We are seeking a Training Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting the UMass President’s Office Administration & Finance Shared Services. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in curriculum development and the creation of asynchronous learning materials and a proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate accessible training that drives user adoption and compliance . This is not an HR or LMS Administrator role.

Responsibilities:

• Create and deliver training on UMass policies and on financial, travel, budget, and procurement tools and procedures to meet Admin & Finance compliance requirements.
• Lead training efforts by gathering requirements, providing input, and supporting the design and delivery of Admin & Finance programs.
• Provide hands-on training for financial systems, including ERP platforms, procurement tools such as BuyWays, travel and expense systems such as Concur, and budgeting software.
• Design and produce instructional and asynchronous training videos for the LMS, including quick tutorials for end users, in alignment with Title II accessibility requirements.
• Develop training collateral such as job aids, guides, and presentations to support technology and process deployments.
• Establish feedback loops to drive continuous improvement of training programs to meet changing business needs.
• Collaborate with process SMEs to develop specialized training content.
• Define and implement measures to track training effectiveness and change adoption.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in education, training, change management, business administration, communication, or related fields.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and curriculum development skills.
• Proficiency with training development platforms, video training development, and asynchronous learning systems.
• Knowledge of major LMS platforms and e-learning tools, including Camtasia and Articulate 360.
• Strong knowledge of Title II accessibility requirements and their application to training content.
• Ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience working in a shared services environment.
• Experience with PeopleSoft, Jaggaer, Oracle EPM, Camtasia, Articulate, Zoom, and Concur.
• Ability to demonstrate curriculum development during interview.
