Day Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

The Good Samaritan Home of Quincy in Quincy IL is seeking an LPN Staff Nurse to join our growing team!

Full Time and Part Time Positions Available 6:30am-3:00pm 6:30am-7:00pm 2:30pm - 11:00pm 6:30pm - 7:00am 10:30pm - 7:00am

We are looking for a compassionate LPN! The right candidate has a can-do attitude excellent interpersonal skills and a current state LPN license. The primary purpose of your job position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and to assist in compiling data to complete the resident assessment by the requirements of current federal state and local standards guidelines and regulations that govern our facility and as may be required by the Director of Nursing Services or designees to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Rate of Pay: $24.04- $28.04

Responsibilities

• Participate in the planning and coordination of total patient care in conjunction with the RN and the physicians plan of care and follow the nursing care plan for each patient

• Accurately report and record the patients condition and care including signs and symptoms which may be indicative of change

• Prepare clinical/progress notes and summaries

• Assist the patient with the activities of daily living while teaching appropriate self-care techniques

• Provides and maintains a safe environment for the patient

• Assist the physician and Registered Nurse in complex nursing situations

• Follow universal precautions whenever giving any aspect of patient care

• Follow emergency procedures in the event of any catastrophic event incident e.g. accident injury or significant change in the patients condition

Qualifications

• IL state license as an LPN

• Graduate of an accredited program of practical nursing

• Proof of current CPR certification

• Ability to work flexible schedule

• Excellent interpersonal skills

• Valid drivers license or reliable transportation
