Middle office operations manager

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the end-to-end operations of the Security Master File and associated security reference data, with a focus on asset setup and data validation for external vendors.

• Ensure comprehensive support for multiple investment strategies and asset classes, including syndicated bank loans, private credit, bonds, mortgage-backed securities (MBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), and collateralized loan obligations (CLOs).

• Oversee the day-to-day delivery of data operations, ensuring all business requirements are met with timeliness, accuracy, and reliability.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with internal stakeholders including Front Office, Investor Relations, Data Governance, Finance, and Information Technology.

• Manage relationships with external data vendors to ensure consistent and high-quality data flow and service delivery.

• Develop and enhance operational workflows and controls to improve data quality, efficiency, and scalability.

• Lead root cause analysis of data quality issues and implement corrective measures aligned with business and technology teams.

• Collaborate with Information Technology to support the ongoing development and enhancement of the Security Master File infrastructure.

• Foster a culture of transparent and candid communication across teams, promoting accountability and proactive issue resolution.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.

• 5+ years of relevant experience in middle office operations, data management, or investment operations, ideally within asset management or financial services.

• Strong understanding of fixed income and credit markets, including structured products such as CLOs, ABS, and MBS.

• Experience with Security Master File systems and security reference data management.

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Comfortable working cross-functionally with both business and technical teams.

• Proficiency in Excel; experience with data tools and workflow systems is a plus.
