Precision Assembly & Inspection Technician

Join us as a Precision Assembly & Inspection Technician on a 12-hour day shift (8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m., rotating with two weekends per month) and help deliver components that meet exacting customer specifications.

Your Mission

Operate, inspect, and document with discipline. Follow every SWI and SOP, maintain a safe and organized cleanroom station, and stop to escalate issues the moment you see them. Your work keeps our lines efficient, compliant, and on-spec.

How You’ll Contribute

• Run production equipment to daily plan while meeting quality and safety expectations.
• Interpret controlled work instructions and manufacturing documentation.
• Conduct visual inspections; report nonconformances to the Cell Lead or QC.
• Quarantine and record scrap using SMC’s Red Bin Procedure.
• Check machine performance and notify the Cell Lead or Shift Supervisor of irregularities.
• Maintain cleanroom discipline, adhere to safety practices, and follow cGMP and GDP.
• Learn Lock Out/Tag Out (affected employee) and apply standard work.
• Bring consistent professionalism, teamwork, and attendance; take on other duties as assigned.

Pathways for Growth

Level I : HS diploma or equivalent; English proficiency; team and independent contributor; self-motivated; strong communication; meticulous with high manual dexterity (preferred).

Level II : All Level I requirements plus 6+ months of manufacturing experience (required).

Level III : Level II plus cleanroom experience (preferred) and ability to assist Cell Leads with training and oversight of newer associates.

Physical Profile

• Frequent bending, squatting, climbing, grasping, reaching, and lifting.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs. frequently; more on occasion.
• Continuous standing and walking.
• Exposure to machine shop hazards and certain chemicals; respiratory PPE may be required.
• Occasional seated computer work and fine motor tasks.
