Legends Global, the Leader in privately managed public assembly facilities has an immediate opening for a Physical Plant Manager at the DCU Center, Worcester, MA 01608. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:- Ensures proper and efficient operation of central Building Management Systems (BMS)
- Schedules, coordinates and supervises/monitors general maintenance of facility
- Develops and emergency action plan for system malfunctions or breakdowns; develops corrective actions and solutions
- Provides technical support, oversees and/or assists with repairs and maintenance of all facility systems and equipment
- Ensures proper utilization of the Work Order and ASM Global Maintenance Manager systems
- Acts as contact for suppliers, contractors and vendors
- Ensures adherence to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes
- Analyzes needs and plans preventative maintenance programs and upgrades for systems
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Directly supervises employees in the Engineering Department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources and addressing complaints and resolving problems. QUALIFICATIONS : To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. EDUCATION AND /OR EXPERIENCE :- High school Diploma or equivalent
- Experience with computers and BMS/various automated systems
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the operation and maintenance of a large building, including HVAC, electrical and plumbing
- Specific licensing in the trades (plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, carpentry, etc.) is preferred
- OSHA training is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required
- Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management
- Ability to effectively supervise staff
- Strong customer service skills
- Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
- Ability to work irregular/extended hours including nights and weekends

Compensation Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, and a generous benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, paid vacation, and 401k plan.
