Job Title: Social Services / Behavioral Health (LCSW) – Emergency Department
Location: Falmouth, MA 02540
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule:
- Day Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- 3 Days per Week (30 Hours)
- Rotating Schedule (Includes Every Other Weekend & Holiday)
Position Overview
We are seeking a licensed Behavioral Health professional to provide mental health support within a fast-paced Emergency Department setting. This role involves assessing patients, developing treatment plans, supporting crisis intervention, and ensuring safe discharge with appropriate follow-up care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct mental health assessments for patients in the Emergency Department
- Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans
- Provide individual, group, and family counseling
- Support discharge planning and coordinate referrals to community resources
- Manage crisis situations and provide immediate intervention
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams
Required Qualifications
- Valid licensure in one of the following:
- LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker)
- LICSW (Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker)
- LMHC (Licensed Mental Health Counselor)
- LMFT (Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist)
- PhD in a related field
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or MOAB certification
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills
