We are currently hiring Full Time and Part Time Activity Transport Drivers for our Millbury, MA location!

  • Schedule: Full Time and Part Time opportunities available
    • Flexible availability - days, nights, weekends and holidays required.
  • Earning Potential: Earn up to $75,000 annually operating trips for a wide variety of clients and destinations.
  • Cross Training: Opportunities with experience to cross train to operate Motorcoaches and increase you earnings potential without the need to travel overnight.

  • School Field Trips and Athletic Teams – As a leader in student transportation, DATTCO is the preferred transportation provider for school districts and prep schools throughout Southern New England.
  • Affinity Groups – serve local, national, and international tour operators traveling throughout North America.
  • Corporate, Charter, Wedding and Specialty Event Transportation – Enjoy a variety of unique transportation assignments year round with weddings, reunions, or sports events.

What You’ll Do:

  • As a DATTCO Activity Transport Driver, you'll do more than get passengers from Point A to Point B—you'll provide safe, reliable, and memorable travel experiences throughout Southern New England.
  • Travel to exciting destinations while transporting school groups, athletic teams, tour groups, corporate clients, and charter passengers.
  • Safely operate our late model, Activity Transport vehicles on local and regional trips.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by creating a welcoming, professional experience for every passenger.
  • Assist passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and trip related needs.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure your coach is safe, clean, and road ready.
  • Navigate a variety of routes, road conditions, and destinations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Communicate with Dispatch and Operations to ensure smooth, on time service.
  • Provide required passenger safety briefings and respond professionally to unexpected situations or emergencies.
  • Complete trip reports, vehicle inspections, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Help protect the customer experience by addressing passenger concerns and reporting opportunities for service improvements.
  • Maintain the appearance and professionalism of your assigned vehicle, including fueling and basic operational checks.
  • Represent DATTCO's commitment to safety, reliability, and outstanding customer service on every trip.

Requirements:

  • CDL Class B with Passenger Endorsement – Or, ask about our Entry Level Driver Training Program to obtain you CDL or required endorsements though us.
  • Must have an acceptable driving record and meet DMV and DATTCO eligibility standards.
  • Must possess, or transfer before operating a valid CDL Class B with Passenger (P) endorsement.
    • Out of state CDL holders may qualify.
  • Must meet DOT/FMCSA medical qualification standards, including the physical qualification standards in 49 CFR Part 391, and maintain a valid DOT medical certificate as required.
  • Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screening, including state and national criminal background checks, motor vehicle record checks, pre-employment drug testing, and any other screenings required by law or DATTCO policy.
  • Must participate in DOT/FMCSA and/or state-required random drug and alcohol testing programs as applicable to CDL drivers.

Skills:

  • Ability to work independently.

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly and perform required vehicle inspections.
  • Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, and use vehicle safety equipment.
  • Ability to assist passengers during boarding, exiting, and emergency evacuations.
