Full Stack Senior Software Developer

Summary:

The Full Stack Senior Software Developer is a key member of the development staff for the eCommerce team. They are responsible for developing and maintaining our e-Commerce application. They are a highly technical hands-on individual contributor, a mentor for other team members, and serve as a technical expert for the eCommerce application and development team. This is a technical role focused on advanced coding, architectural expertise, and DevOps infrastructure. This role involves both front-end and back-end development, working closely with business stakeholders to deliver e-Commerce features that meet operational requirements. The expectations of this role are that the developer can build features independently with minimal support from their team and deliver them to production. The role combines software development expertise with operational responsibility for our development and deployment systems. This is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office) based in Boston, Massachusetts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develops features and functionality for our e-Commerce application


• Implements server code and user interfaces that meet business user requirements


• Writes and maintains Python and JavaScript/TypeScript code following established coding standards and best practices


• Writes unit tests for all their code


• Has experience with relational databases


• Can learn new tools and technologies quickly


• Can develop a feature and implement it from start to finish without requiring extensive support


• Participates in code reviews and incorporates feedback from other team members


• Troubleshoots application issues and implements bug fixes


• Investigates and resolves user-reported problems


• Performs testing to ensure functionality meets requirements


• Documents technical solutions and maintains code comments


• Collaborates with team members on technical solutions and implementation approaches


• Participates in team meetings and provides project status updates


• Seeks guidance from other developers on complex technical challenges

Qualifications :

• Experience with Python, Next.JS and React.js development


• Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript


• Experience with any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, GCP)


• Understanding of software development lifecycle and testing practices


• Experience with Agile project management, Jira, and Confluence


• Understanding of relational database concepts and query writing


• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail


• Ability to work independently while knowing when to seek assistance


• 6+ years experience as a Full Stack Software Developer

Preferred Qualifications (nice to have):

• Familiarity with Git version control and GitHub


• Experience with Heroku


• Experience with web application development using HTML, CSS

Salary Range: $120K - $160K
