Job Purpose:
Actively participate in and foster the Adams Community Bank culture of excellence while supporting the Bank’s strategic initiatives.
Maintain high standards of integrity and professionalism when dealing with internal and external customers. Coaches, trains, and develops staff behavior to maximize individual and team performance goals. Actively pursues, develops, and maintains quality relationships with new and existing consumer and business segments consistent with the Bank’s strategic plan. Prospect and deliver quality new customers based upon Adams Community Bank target lists.
Consistently and effectively manage behavior within the Bank’s established customer service standards and core values while adhering to all established Bank policy and procedures.

Duties and Precise Tasks:
1. Commit to and live by a no excuses environment whereby all employees are held 100% accountable for behaviors, actions, performance, and attitudes.
2. Adhere to all Bank policies and procedures.
3. Safeguards customer trust by upholding the duty of customer confidentiality. Must comply with all required regulations, guidelines, and policies (including but not limited to adherence to all requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) including Customer Due Diligence (CDD), account monitoring and Know Your Customer (KYC)).
4. Leadership / Operations / General Responsibilities :
a. Manage bank operations by:
i. Implement and maintain standard operating procedures within compliance guidelines.
ii. Act as a primary interface for customers. Make decisions within scope of expertise and authority regarding problem resolution.
iii. Maintain working knowledge of equipment and operation of same.
iv. Manage and maintain high quality branch audits, both internal and external.
v. Notify the security officer of any visual or administrative inconsistencies which may impact the safekeeping of bank customers’ assets, personnel and/or property to minimize risk.
b. Bring out the best of branch personnel by coaching, training, developing, motivating, and counseling branch staff in a positive and team-oriented environment to maximize established individual and team performance goals.
c. Create and conduct effective performance review discussions (period and annual) with branch staff.
d. Develop and maintain a competitive focus within the branch, by encouraging staff to promote our bank’s product line through cross-selling bank products and services.
e. Meet and exceed branch performance objectives.
f. Conduct regular staff meetings for the purpose of exchanging new ideas, problem-solving and learning about policies, procedures, and new product development.
g. Develop and implement sales plans.
h. Open/close the branch.
i. Plan, implement and report progress of special projects.
j. Participate in sales and other meetings as requested / required.
k. Be an advocate for new technologies that are introduced into the retail environment.
l. Consistently recognize employee achievements and encourage excellence in the work environment. Champion the core values.
m. Coordinate with other branches to share knowledge, plan promotional activities or achieve goals.
n. Increase brand awareness of the Bank within the community.
o. Participation / Volunteerism in community groups or boards and / or events is encouraged but not required.
p. Provide opportunities for “on the job” training for staff with other employees within the branch.
5. Customer Service / Account Opening and Servicing Requirements:
a. Consults new and existing customers regarding their financial needs following a diagnostic sales approach. Identifies relationship building opportunities and follows through to close.
b. Deepens customers relationships through cross-selling by referring to other business lines (Business Development, Cash Management, Investments, Commercial, Mortgage, etc.).
c. Complete all Adams Community Bank account opening / maintenance forms according to procedure.
d. Complete loan applications according to Bank procedures.
e. Strong understanding of all account ownership types and authority, being responsive and timely with correspondence and problem resolution, while displaying a caring attitude.
f. Maintain a strong working knowledge of product and service offerings including consumer and business accounts, trust and estate accounts, non-profit, retirement (IRA), online banking, bill pay, debit cards, mobile transactions, etc.
g. Establishes an active outreach plan for yourself and team that includes routine follow-up to prevent the attrition of customers, outbound calling and “feet on the street” activities to generate new business for the bank.
h. Being a notary is encouraged but not required.
i. Assist customer with safe deposit per Bank procedure.
j. Adhere to telephone and communication standards when interacting with customers/employees to attract business.
6. Cash Handling / Transaction Processing Requirements:
- Ability to fill in on the teller line as needed.
- Understands and can perform basic transactions including but not limited to processing deposits and withdrawals, loan payments, verifying cash and endorsements, check cashing, money order and bank check issuance and savings bond redemption.
- Balance cash drawer at end of each shift and report any discrepancies.
- Process night deposits and mail transactions per Bank procedure.
- Balance cash recycler (if applicable) per Bank’s procedure.
- Ability to order and / or ship cash per Bank policy.
7. Works a minimum of two Saturdays per month.
8. Perform additional duties as requested.
You must be able to pass a background and credit check.
