The DCIO and Sub-Advisory business at MSIM is a growth area of the firm backed by a
global leader in investment management. This work involves leveraging the firm’s vast
resources and expertise to provide innovative and flexible investment solutions to meet the
growing needs of a diverse client segment.
The Executive Director will be responsible for leading and growing the team responsible for
DCIO and Sub-Advisory assets at MSIM. This business is poised for aggressive growth and will
require a hands-on leader excited for the opportunity to scale and build. This role requires an
energetic and optimistic leader, who is a strategic thinker, and excited about execution, including
playing a role in client interaction when needed. The mandate across the team includes servicing
and defending current AUM with top clients, as well as pursuing new opportunities across all
asset classes: fixed income, equities, and private markets. Collaboration across multiple areas
of MSIM will be critical for success, this includes internal partnership across investment teams,
marketing, intermediary sales, institutional sales, and national accounts.
- Define goals and develop a strategic plan to grow AUM in partnership with all areas of intermediary distribution.
- Lead a growing team to execute on product opportunities and coordinate distribution efforts at major firms.
- Leverage prior relationships across industry contacts to help grow the business.
- Serve as a representative of Eaton Vance Distributors (EVD) at board meetings for subadvisory relationships alongside investment team resources when needed.
- Maximize partnership with our Portfolio Strategy Consultants to leverage opportunities with research for model allocations.
- Partner with the MSIM investment teams to help promote AUM opportunities.
- Partner with institutional sales to leverage relationships with consultants who overlap coverage in this channel.
- Work with Marketing to develop any materials needed to support the business.
- Partner with intermediary sales leadership to leverage relationships in the field that can drive DCIO and/or Sub Advisory allocations.
What you'll bring to the role:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in the investment management industry, previous client relationship and sales experience required.
- Ability to understand and communicate detailed conversations on a vast investment product offering.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to define and communicate a clear vision, align teams with organizational goals and drive long-term results.

- FINRA Series 7, 63 & 65 licenses required. Series 24 preferred.
- Ability to travel is required.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
