Job Description

Job Description

Description:

Training Delivery & Facilitation

  • Plan, schedule, and facilitate live virtual training sessions, webinars, and small-group workshops tailored to the needs of attorneys and legal staff across multiple firms.
  • Deliver engaging, role-based training on enterprise legal software platforms and productivity tools, ensuring content is relevant to attorneys' day-to-day workflows.
  • Adapt delivery style and content complexity to varied audiences, from tech-savvy associates to senior partners with varying levels of software proficiency.
  • Serve as a responsive training resource for individual and group questions, providing guidance on best practices and platform-specific workflows.

Training Content Development

  • Design and develop a comprehensive library of training materials including step-by-step user guides, reference cards, job aids, and policy-aligned documentation.
  • Produce professional-quality instructional videos and on-demand eLearning content that attorneys and staff can access asynchronously.
  • Build and maintain modular training curricula that can be scaled across the multi-firm environment as the organization grows toward 1,500 attorneys.
  • Collaborate with the Director, User Experience and other stakeholders to ensure training content reflects current platform versions, firm-specific configurations, and evolving best practices.
  • Continuously assess and refresh existing training materials to reflect software updates, new feature rollouts, and user feedback.

Needs Assessment & Program Strategy

  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify skill gaps, adoption barriers, and opportunities for targeted learning interventions.
  • Partner with IT, practice group leaders, and firm administrators to understand operational workflows and align training programs accordingly.
  • Track training participation, completion, and effectiveness metrics; report insights to the Director, User Experience and recommend improvements.
  • Support the onboarding of lateral hires and new attorneys with structured software orientation programs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with firm leadership, practice group coordinators, and department heads to anticipate training needs driven by firm growth and new software deployments.
  • Serve as a liaison between end users and the IT team, surfacing usability challenges and user feedback to inform platform configurations and support strategies.
  • Maintain strong relationships across a geographically dispersed, remote-first organization, demonstrating the ability to build trust and credibility without in-person interaction.

Requirements:

Industry Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience within the legal industry, with direct exposure to the operational and technological needs of attorneys in a law firm environment.
  • Prior experience in a BigLaw or global law firm setting is required; familiarity with multi-office or multi-firm environments is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of legal workflows, attorney work habits, and the unique demands of a high-performance legal practice environment.

Technical Proficiency

Candidates must possess hands-on, practical experience with the following platforms and tool categories:

  • Microsoft 365 / Office Suite:Microsoft Office Suite
  • iManage:iManage (document management platform) — experience with configuration, user workflows, and attorney-facing features
  • Financial and Matter Management Platforms: Aderant, Clio, Intapp
  • Litera:Litera (document drafting, comparison, and metadata management tools)
  • Docketing Platforms:Docketing platforms (e.g., CompuLaw, Docket Enterprise, or equivalent legal deadline management tools)
  • Legal Research Platforms:Legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis, or comparable research tools)
  • AI Tools, such as Claude, CoPilot, Harvey and other tools currently used in the legal industry

Training Design & Delivery

  • Proven experience designing and facilitating virtual training sessions, live webinars, and on-demand instructional video content for a professional audience.
  • Strong writing skills with experience developing polished user guides, training manuals, quick reference cards, and other instructional documentation.
  • Familiarity with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, or equivalent) and video production workflows.
  • Ability to translate complex technical functionality into clear, attorney-friendly language without unnecessary jargon.

Professional Competencies

  • Self-directed and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fully remote work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; comfortable presenting to and engaging with attorneys and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering training materials of the highest professional quality.
  • Collaborative team player who can work cross-functionally with IT colleagues, practice group leadership, and firm administrators.

Work Environment & Logistics

This is a full-time, exempt, remote-first position open to US-based candidates. The expectation is that the selected individual will be fully effective in a distributed, virtual work environment — collaborating with colleagues, attorney users, and leadership across time zones primarily through video conferencing, messaging platforms, and asynchronous communication tools.

Travel is minimal and is not a regular expectation of this role. Occasional travel may arise for firm-wide events, strategic planning sessions, or specific onboarding engagements, but such instances are expected to be rare.
