What You'll Do: 

  • Provides comprehensive personal care to terminally ill patients, including hygiene, skin and nail care, feeding, dressing, positioning, transfers, ambulation assistance, and pressure relief, following assignments from the RN or Clinical Nurse Manager.
  • Accurately measures and records vital signs; observes, identifies, and promptly reports changes in patient condition, pain, or symptoms to licensed nursing staff.
  • Supports the physical, emotional, mental, social, and cultural needs of patients and families with compassion, dignity, and respect, within scope of practice.
  • Maintains a safe care environment by adhering to patient safety standards, infection control practices, and confidentiality requirements to reduce risk of errors.
  • Collaborates effectively as a member of the interdisciplinary team, participating in meetings, quality improvement activities, and ongoing education as required.
  • Demonstrates professionalism by complying with organizational policies, ethical standards, attendance requirements, dress code, identification guidelines, and positively representing the organization and its mission.

What You'll Need: 

  • High school education. (required)
  • Active, good-standing MA CNA or HHA certification. (required)
  • Ability to provide compassionate care in end-of-life situations. (required)
  • Valid state driver’s license and reliable automobile, current automobile insurance and be willing to operate personal car necessitated by nature of the job. (required)
  • Health certificate/physical examination and TB testing. (required)
  • At least one year of experience (required)
