Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Business Project Manager I to oversee multiple cross-functional projects across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and New Hampshire. This role ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget , while maintaining compliance with internal standards and regulatory expectations.
The Project Manager will lead business-critical initiatives for the Customer Group , working closely with leadership, operations, regulatory, and IT teams. This position requires a proactive communicator, strong collaborator, and strategic thinker capable of managing complex business programs in a fast-paced environment.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital and expense projects from initiation through completion.

Develop detailed project charters, budgets, and schedules , defining objectives, scope, and success metrics.

Coordinate cross-functional project teams , assign responsibilities, and manage progress across multiple stakeholders.

Identify project risks, dependencies, and contingencies , implementing mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Prepare and deliver regular status reports, dashboards, and project updates to leadership and business partners.

Oversee project documentation, change control, and financial tracking processes in compliance with internal standards.

Support change management strategies , ensuring alignment and stakeholder readiness throughout project lifecycles.

Partner with business, legal, and regulatory teams to ensure all initiatives meet compliance and governance requirements.

Analyze project data and business metrics to drive insights, efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
Must Haves (Required Qualifications):
-
2–3 years of experience in project management , preferably in a corporate or regulated environment.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Finance, or related field.

Experience managing projects using Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Strong knowledge of project management tools and documentation best practices.

Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Proven ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution .

Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain accountability.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
Nice to Haves (Preferred Skills):

Project Management Certification (PMP or CAPM) or equivalent coursework.

Experience in utility, energy, or regulated industries (electric or gas preferred).

Familiarity with process mapping and customer journey mapping.

Knowledge of financial analysis and project justification documentation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
