Job Description:
Part-Time Custodian Location: Andover, MA (Temple Emanuel) Pay: $23.00 / hour Job Type: Part-Time Temple Emanuel in Andover, MA is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Part-Time Custodian to join our team. This role is essential to maintaining a clean, welcoming, and secure environment for our community members, staff, and visitors. Shift Schedule & Hours This position offers a consistent core schedule with additional predictable hours: Wednesday: 2:30 PM - 10:00 PM Friday: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Alternating Weekends (Every Other Week): Saturday: 8:00 AM - 2:00 PM Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Flexible Rotating Shifts: An additional 15-20 hours per month (assigned 2-3 months in advance to allow for easy personal planning). Key Responsibilities Perform general janitorial and cleaning duties (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and trash removal). Maintain clean and sanitized restrooms and common areas. Assist with room setups and breakdowns for services, community events, and weekly programs. Ensure the building is secure during and at the conclusion of evening shifts. Respond to minor maintenance requests or spills as needed. Qualifications Previous custodial, janitorial, or facilities maintenance experience preferred. Dependable with a strong work ethic and excellent time management skills. Ability to work independently and follow a checklist of daily tasks. Capable of performing physical labor (lifting, bending, standing for long periods). Must have reliable transportation to Andover, MA.
