Job Title: Housekeeper/Prep

Department: Operations

Reports to: Program Manager

Job Summary:

The housekeeper is to mai ntain a sterile environment in and around such facility. Must be able to maintain cleanliness and a germ-free environment in facilities that are cons tantly exposed to the spread of germs and diseases.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Clean floors and surfaces using predefined cleaning methods and procedures

· Mix appropriate quantities of cleaning liquids and chemicals in accordance with state safety regulations

· Dust, mop and sweep rooms and administrative offices

· Clean and disinfect public restrooms

· Clean mirrors and windows along with polishing fittings and fixtures

· Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper compaction of surgical waste according to policies

· Create and maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment

· Inform Operations Director of any cleaning equipment that may need repair or replacement

· Inform Operations Director about any building hazard and assist in addressing it

· Maintain adequate stock of cleaning supplies

· Perform related work as required or as assigned by Supervisor

· Properly store and dispose of food;

· Ensure health and sanitation standards are in compliance with regulations;

· Aid culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe;

· Assist in training new kitchen staff team members;

· Aid culinary team in preparing dishes to recipe, garnishing and plating of dishes;

· Aid team in preparing dishes to recipe;

· Help cleaning and organizing in the kitchen;

· Knowledge of scheduling and food inventory.

· Food handling certifications that apply;

· Knowledge of kitchen equipment and utensils;

· Experience with food preparation including cooking and plating meals;

· Demonstrate humility;

· Strive for excellence in all aspects of the job;

· The ability to work a full shift, come to work on time and work overtime as needed;

· Work with integrity in all interactions;

· Experience with dining services in a Chef, Cook, Sous Chef or Dietary Aide role;

· Express compassion for residents, staff and guests on a consistent basis;

· Work harmoniously with other employees and develop/maintain good employee relations and employee morale;

· The ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation;

· Prefer past experience in this position but not mandatory if you are flexible, a quick learner and a hard worker;

· Proven past experience;

· Ability to communicate and listen and execute effectively;

· Appropriate attitude and mindset for fast pace environment.

Education and Experience:

· High School Diploma or GED

· 1+ years of kitchen experience preferred but not required

· working within a Mental and Substance abuse facility is preferred.

Complete training or certifications in CPR, HIPAA, HIV/AIDS, Verbal De-Escalation, Incident Reporting, Infection/STD Risks, HEP B/C, and Abuse, Neglect, Trauma, and Exploitation, Understanding SUD, and any other training required by the State or the Joint Commission.
