Reconciliation Operations Analyst - Contract POST NUMBER: 475702

We've partnered with a Financial Services Firm in Boston, MA who is looking for an R&A operatoins finance candidate to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily production and control standards are met with a high level of accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with established deadlines and requirements.
• Coordinate and manage daily workflow, intraday prioritization, and end?of?day reconciliation, ensuring all items are properly reviewed, balanced, and resolved.
• Monitor, investigate, and assist in the resolution of breaks, exceptions, and complex inquiries, partnering with internal departments to drive timely closure and minimize risk exposure.
• Prepare, review, and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly production and control reports to internal and external stakeholders, escalating items that fall outside of standard.
• Identify, document, and trend errors or recurring issues, recommending process, system, or data improvements to reduce exposure and improve efficiency.
• Communicate professionally with internal clients and management through meetings, phone, and email to ensure aged items are actively worked through resolution.
• Participate in system enhancements, reconciliation product testing, and process improvements to increase productivity and accuracy.
• Document workflows and procedures, provide training to junior staff, and offer day?to?day support and backup coverage as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance , Accounting, Operations, or a related field.
• Experience in a financial services, custody, asset management, or reconciliation environment strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of operational controls, reconciliations, and exception management.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and recommend process and risk mitigation improvements.
• Proficiency in reporting tools and databases; familiarity with Microsoft Access or similar systems a plus.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline?driven environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team?oriented, control?focused environment.
