As a Portfolio Accountant, you'll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our real estate assets through accurate financial reporting, insightful analysis, and seamless collaboration across multiple disciplines. What You’ll Do:

• Oversee and review monthly financial reports from third-party property managers, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and analyzing performance, cash flow, and NOI fluctuations
• Partner with Asset Managers to assess property and management company performance and communicate findings from periodic audits (income, lease, tax, and expenses)
• Support quarterly and annual financial close, including preparation of fund and property-level financial statements, debt covenants, investor reports, and NCREIF deliverables
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax teams, and consultants to ensure timely and accurate reporting
• Assist with fund-level operations, including management fees, bank reconciliations, wire/draw requests, investment entries, and ad hoc accounting projects

Required Skills:

• 2-3 years of accounting experience, ideally within public accounting or real estate sectors
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Yardi is a plus
• Analytical mindset with keen attention to detail

Nice to Have Skills:

• CPA or working towards CPA is highly desired
• Experience with real estate accounting and financial reporting
• Familiarity with property management, asset management, or portfolio analysis
• Knowledge of audit, tax, or valuation processes within real estate

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Prior experience in public accounting or a real estate-focused role
• Exposure to third-party property management or financial close processes
