MFG Functional Technician III
DESCRIPTION
Amazon Robotics is seeking a Manufacturing Functional Technician III to support the manufacturing, debugging, and testing of complex robotic systems. This role requires strong technical expertise in troubleshooting, quality inspection, and process improvement, with the ability to collaborate closely with engineering and manufacturing teams to ensure successful production outcomes. Key job responsibilitiesKey Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Functional Technician III, you will:
• Perform troubleshooting activities for manufacturing products, using data and observations to assist in debug and root cause analysis.
• Conduct hardware inspections, identifying discrepancies and documenting findings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Assemble first article builds, test fixtures, racks, and associated wiring, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
• Provide feedback to mechanical, electrical, and manufacturing engineering teams on tooling, consumables, debugging processes, and test setups.
• Maintain and update team Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), documenting process improvements and changes.
• Perform tasks across multiple defined process paths, escalating issues when deviations from standard processes occur.
• Meet productivity, quality, and safety standards while identifying opportunities for process optimization.
• Lead or support small-scale process improvement initiatives such as 6S or defect reduction projects.
• Participate in training programs for peers and assist in developing new hires within your process area.
• Maintain security and proper usage of company assets, equipment, and tools used in daily operations.

• Work independently across multiple process paths with periodic quality review by manufacturing leaders.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of critical-to-quality (CTQ) requirements and manufacturing best practices.
• Provide mentorship to peers, sharing knowledge and supporting skill development within the department.
• Identify and communicate training needs to leadership and help implement solutions.
• Role model site safety and compliance standards, escalating safety concerns when necessary.
• Contribute to a culture of operational excellence by proactively completing tasks and removing blockers when possible.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Basic Qualifications• Ability to read and follow English-language instructions and technical documentation.
• Experience with troubleshooting, inspections, and first article or test fixture assembly.
• Knowledge of manufacturing quality standards and safety protocols.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work safely in a structured manufacturing environment.
