Software Quality Engineer II

Akkodis is seeking a Software Quality Engineer II for a Contract with a client in Waltham, MA. You will design and execute manual and automated test cases to ensure product quality and compliance in cardiac electrophysiology software.

Rate Range: $50/hour to $55/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Software Quality Engineer II job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases to validate system functionality and ensure compliance in the Electrophysiology domain.

• Create and maintain automated test scripts, debug issues in scripts and frameworks, and execute automation runs for JIRA items.

• Document test results, prepare test reports, and log bugs/enhancements in a tracking system.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software development, hardware engineering, and field support to resolve issues and improve product quality.

• Participate in Agile Scrum activities such as daily stand-ups, product reviews, and bug triage meetings.

• Assist in defining test methodology, strategy, and data setup, while ensuring compliance with ISO and FDA standards for medical devices.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Biomedical Engineering, or related field (master’s preferred).

• Minimum 3+ years of software testing experience with a Bachelor’s or 1+ years with a master’s degree.

• Strong programming skills in Python and experience with test automation tools such as Selenium or Squish in a Linux environment.

• Hands-on experience in Agile Scrum development, source code management tools (Git/BitBucket), and excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $55.00 per hour
