CDL Driver
We are looking for an experienced truck driver to serve our customers in a safe and timely manner.
$500 Sign on bonus!
Pay: $30-$33
Responsibilities
- Transport finished goods and raw materials
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report defects, accidents or violations
- Unload materials
- Checks clearances so that buildings, wires and the vehicle will not be damaged during operation.
- Maintains logs of delivery duties, mileage and locations of deliveries; check items against invoice or bill of lading.
- Understands and observes all safety procedures and practices in order to prevent injury to self or co-workers.
Skills
- Proven work experience as a truck driver
- Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
- No recent moving or driving violations
- Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)
- Valid truck driving license
- Knowledge of safety procedures while performing driving and materials handling tasks
- Excellent customer service skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and understand maps, routes, road signs
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out route assignment
