Hybrid Cloud Network Architect | Global PE firm

A leading global alternative investment firm is seeking a Hybrid Cloud Network Architect  to design, modernize, and operate enterprise-scale hybrid network infrastructure across on-premises environments and public cloud platforms. This role sits within a centralized technology organization supporting a diverse global investment platform. You’ll play a critical role in architecting and evolving secure, scalable, and automated network environments spanning data centers, offices, and cloud infrastructure (AWS and Azure).

Key Responsibilities

Architecture & Engineering

• Design, implement, and maintain hybrid network architectures across on-prem and cloud environments
• Integrate cloud and on-prem networks using Direct Connect, ExpressRoute, VPNs, and secure routing strategies
• Architect and support enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and SD-WAN environments

Cloud & Automation

• Drive Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption for network provisioning and configuration
• Build and maintain automation workflows using Terraform, Git, and scripting (Python/Shell/PowerShell)
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines enabling consistent, auditable network deployments

Operations & Optimization

• Support global network operations across North America, EMEA, and APAC
• Manage carrier services and connectivity providers
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, reliability, and security
• Maintain clear architectural and operational documentation
• Participate in an on-call rotation for critical incidents

Security

• Administer enterprise firewalls (policy management, VPNs, optimization)
• Implement network access control and segmentation solutions
• Ensure compliance with internal security standards across all environments

Required Qualifications

• Solid experience with enterprise-level routing and switching experience
• Hands-on experience with Cisco and/or Aruba  LAN, WAN, and wireless infrastructure
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, QoS
• Experience with cloud networking in AWS and/or Azure  (VPCs/VNets, routing, connectivity)
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code , ideally Terraform
• Proficiency with Git and modern development tooling
• Scripting experience (Python, Shell, or PowerShell)
• Experience designing and documenting complex network architectures
• Background supporting secure, highly available enterprise environments
