Position Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our team as a contract worker. The ideal candidate will have 1.5-4 years of experience in structural engineering, with a preference for candidates who hold a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license. If you have a background in wood-design and live in the Massachusetts area, specifically in the South Shore or Boston region, we want to hear from you. Inspection experience is a bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide structural designs, calculations, and markups for various projects.
• Prepare detailed plans and sketches in accordance with project requirements.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure the successful execution of structural designs.
• Review and analyze project specifications, codes, and standards.
• Conduct site inspections and assessments as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members to address project requirements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 1.5-4 years of relevant experience in structural engineering.
• Preferably holds a Professional Engineer (P.E.) license.
• Strong knowledge of wood-design principles.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software and AutoCAD or PDF Editors such as Bluebeam to provide markups of details for our drafters.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage project timelines.
• Inspection experience is a plus.
