Systems Administrator

Brunt Workwear
North Reading, MA

We’re leading the way in redefining the workwear category. Our mission is to engineer better boots and apparel for our country’s tradesmen and women by working directly with real workers to learn what they actually need to execute their jobs.

The BRUNT team is not only devoted to improving on the old workwear standards, but we’re also creating a community that tradesmen and women can call their own. From our weekly hangouts at the BRUNT Garage, to hosting events across the country, we’re all about getting boots on the ground and building something real with the BRUNT crew.

What You’ll Do:

As BRUNT’s Systems Administrator, you’ll serve as the backbone of our internal technology infrastructure. This is a hands-on, highly collaborative role that combines systems architecture, business process optimization, and data security. You’ll report into the technology lead while working closely with Operations and Accounting to ensure our systems run seamlessly and securely.

How You’ll Do It:

IT Systems Management

  • Manage and maintain BRUNT’s internal systems ecosystem, including NetSuite, Celigo, Shopify, our third-party warehouse system, SPS Commerce (EDI), and other smaller connected systems, ensuring that all systems are secure, well-integrated, and operating efficiently.

  • Design, build, and optimize scalable system architectures that can adapt to evolving business needs and support cross-departmental growth in Finance, Operations, Sales, and beyond.

  • Ensure uptime, reliability, and performance of all business-critical applications and SaaS platforms through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and vendor management.

  • Lead initiatives around systems access and security, including user provisioning, permissions management, and data governance, to safeguard information and streamline the employee experience.

  • Document all related processes to ensure repeatability and audits logs of all related activities.

ERP Management

  • Act as a key technical driver and administrator in Netsuite, collaborating with accounting and operations teams to optimize the NetSuite environment, prevent systems failures, and ensure data integrity.

  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize API integrations and connectors (e.g., Celigo) as well as third-party tools, ensuring seamless connectivity and minimal disruption to business operations.

  • Own system configuration, user setup, testing, and documentation across ERP platforms to support accuracy, compliance, and a consistent end-user experience.

Security & Compliance

  • Design and implement company-wide IT controls, user permissions, audit logs, and backup protocols related to our systems environment.

  • Maintain cyber hygiene across the various systems: software updates, patching schedules, and cloud asset protection.

  • Define and enforce best practices for data security, access control, and system governance.

What You Need to Succeed:

  • 5-7 years experience in an IT systems role, with experience in an e-commerce environment

  • Strong working knowledge of ERP systems especially NetSuite, with hands-on experience in integrations (Celigo), Shopify, third-party warehouse systems, and various other related systems common in an e-commerce environment

  • Familiarity with data pipelines, automations, and process mapping

  • Understanding of system security architecture, including SSO and MFA and a general understanding of best practice controls in the systems space

  • Ability to proactively identify inefficiencies and implement durable, scalable solutions

  • Strong documentation habits and communication skills

  • Comfortable managing multiple initiatives with limited oversight

  • Be in office 3x per week in North Reading, MA
