Occupational therapist home - pediatric therapy

Back Bay Speech & Occupational Therapy
Boston, MA

Are you a passionate occupational therapist who loves supporting children in their natural environments, exploring the city between sessions, and making a meaningful impact in families’ lives?

Back Bay Speech & Occupational Therapy is a female therapist–owned company dedicated to helping children thrive. We provide high-quality, home-based therapy for children, and we’re looking for a vibrant OT to join our team—someone who loves variety, flexibility, and the chance to help shape our growing OT program.

Why This Role is Exciting:

  • Travel around Boston, Cambridge, and Somerville—get to walk between sessions, enjoy a coffee, or take a quick breather after seeing clients in their homes.
  • Work directly in children’s natural environments, partnering with families to make therapy meaningful and fun.
  • Be part of a growing team and OT program, with opportunities for leadership and pay advancement as the program expands.

Responsibilities:
As a full-time OT at Back Bay Speech & Occupational Therapy, you will:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each child’s individual needs.
  • Develop and implement engaging, effective treatment plans for sensory, fine motor, handwriting, and feeding challenges.
  • Provide hands-on therapy in children’s homes, making each session personalized and fun.
  • Collaborate with families, teachers, and other professionals to support the child’s overall growth.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress notes, and data.
  • Mentor future staff and contribute to the growth and development of our OT program.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of pediatric outpatient OT experience (excluding clinical practicum).
  • Expertise in sensory, fine motor, handwriting, and feeding interventions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for working with families and professionals.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a car for home-based sessions.
  • Interest in leadership and program growth, with the potential to step into a Lead role.

What We Offer:

  • A positive, supportive work environment that celebrates flexibility, creativity, and collaboration.
  • Competitive compensation and a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
  • Opportunities for pay advancement tied to program growth and leadership responsibilities.
  • The chance to see your work make a tangible difference every day—while walking the city, connecting with families, and shaping the future of our OT program.

How to Apply:
If you’re ready to join a dynamic, family-focused team where your expertise and creativity are valued, send your resume and cover letter to [email protected] . Tell us about your experience, your passion for pediatric OT, and why you’re excited to grow with our program.

Join us at Back Bay Speech & Occupational Therapy, where your skills, leadership, and heart will help children thrive—and where your workday can be as energizing as the city streets you walk between sessions!
