Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts
• Minimum 1 year of experience in inpatient psychiatric or behavioral health nursing (Psychiatric RN, mental health RN)
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate, Diploma, or BSN)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Comfortable floating between adult, pediatric, and geriatric behavioral health units
• Strong communication, teamwork, and de-escalation skills for psychiatric settings
• Experience with Cerner EHR and accurate clinical documentation preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care through psychiatric assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Develop individualized nursing care plans in coordination with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Perform mental health and suicide risk assessments and communicate changes in clinical status to physicians and supervisors
• Implement behavioral interventions and maintain patient safety consistent with facility policies
• Participate in discharge planning and care transitions for psychiatric patients
• Care for a diverse patient population including adults, children (ages 5–17), and geriatric patients
• Document care accurately using Cerner EHR and ensure compliance with regulatory standards
