Tax Associate

Waldron Rand’s tax professionals are committed to exceptional client service while developing and implementing intelligent strategies that look at the whole client picture. Our Tax Professionals are responsible for the delivery of tax services for multiple clients in a variety of industries. Responsibilities include interacting closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services and working closely with partners on delivering innovative tax planning strategies. This role calls for minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• Interact closely with clients to provide tax planning, consulting, and compliance services
• Review and follow procedures as assigned by supervisors
• Prepare work papers and adjust trial balances
• Continuously foster relationships with coworkers and clients

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related business field
• 0-3 years’ experience
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Self-starter that can manage their day and manage the results of the project
• Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
• Relevant work experience (e.g., internships, summer positions, school jobs)
• Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, and strong business acumen
• Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
