Job Title: Painting Associate
Shift: 1st Shift (7:00am - 3:45pm)

• Looking for candidates with small-part assembly/MFG experience
• Open to "nail technicians" as they have been successful in the past.
• Mainly responsible for "painting duties" but will assist with packaging operations as well
  Job Summary:
  Applies paint, varnishes, stains, and other coatings to interior and/or exterior surfaces with brush, roller, or other tools. Prepare surfaces for painting by removing old paint using paint removers.
  Responsibilities:
• Ability to weigh and mix epoxy using an electronic gram scale, operate air actuated dispensers and read work orders.
• Select proper size needles and syringes for different applications of colored epoxies.
• Cleans grease and dirt from products, using materials, such as lacquer thinner, turpentine, soap, and water.
• Prepares surfaces prior to painting, such as grinding, sanding, and buffing.
• Applies masking tape over parts and areas that are not to be coated.
• Mix paints per paint codes.
• Fills cavities and dents with putty to attain smooth surface.
• Selects and mixes coating liquid to produce desired color, according to specifications, using paddle or mechanical mixer.
• Pours coating liquid into spray container and connect gun to air hose, using wrenches.
• Turns sprayer valves and nozzle to regulate width and pressure of spray according to knowledge of painting technique.
• Pull trigger and directs spray onto work surface to apply prime or finish coat.
• Coats areas inaccessible to hand sprayer, using brush.
• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.
• Finishes surface by polishing with sandpaper, pumice, wax, or other materials.

Qualifications:

• One plus years’ experience in painting.
• Excellent eye and hand coordination.
• Knowledge and skill of paint brush selection, jewelry painting, antiquing, and wiping.
• Strong analytical skills, accuracy, attention to detail and ability to prioritize.
