Tax Para-Professional (Hybrid)

Our client, a well-established CPA firm located West of Boston is seeking a Tax Para-Professional to support their growing practice. This hybrid position blends tax administration, bookkeeping, and client service coordination, offering the opportunity to work directly with CPAs and tax specialists in a highly collaborative setting. 

This is a full-time, hybrid role that offers $65,000 – $75,000 base salary, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage client tax data within a paperless workflow system, ensuring accuracy and organization

• Coordinate document flow, e-signatures, and client communications using SafeSend and other secure portals

• Assist in compiling, reviewing, and finalizing individual and business tax return packages for client delivery

• Maintain up-to-date client files, monitor compliance deadlines, and follow up on outstanding materials

• Provide daily administrative assistance to partners and preparers, including scheduling, document management, and client correspondence

• Handle bookkeeping and reconciliation activities in QuickBooks (both desktop and online versions)

• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and basic financial statements as needed

• Serve as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring timely and professional communication

• Assist with client onboarding, engagement letters, and ongoing relationship management
  
  

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
  
  

• 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or tax administrative support (public accounting experience preferred)

• Proficiency with QuickBooks, Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat

• Familiarity with SafeSend or similar e-signature/document management platforms is a plus

• Strong communication skills and a polished, client-service-oriented demeanor
