Job Overview
Under direct supervision, perform specimen receipt, preparation and testing as specified In IVB SOP and Protocols in compliance with GMP regulations as they apply to the conduct of nonclinical research.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Perform laboratory activities Including but not limited to reagent preparation, laboratory maintenance I monitoring, and routine testing of client samples.• Specific primary areas of testing responsibility include • Immunoassay methods o ELISA o IFA • Hemagglutination• Assist In the receipt of samples to be tested• Prepare data forms for routine serology testing. Record assay parameters as required by protocol.• Ensure proper sample dilution is performed.• Operate and maintain pipettes.• May assist in the preparation of departmental media and diluents, including knowledge of proper labeling technique and storage conditions.• Assist in ensuring adequate supply of materials required for assays.• Ensure raw data records are accurate, complete, and In appropriate order, and meet protocol specifications and/or GMP requirements.• Assist in Interaction with project managers and technical staff In planning and conduct of serology assays.• May support core IVB activities such as clinical observations, animal husbandry, share responsibility for general housekeeping and maintaining appropriate inventory levels of departmental supplies.• Responsible for proficiency In all departmental SOPs with general knowledge of the lab/production processes.• Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Education: Assoclate’s degree (A.A. /A.S.) or equivalent In Biological Sciences or related discipline. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Experience: One to two years related technlcal experience In a laboratory environment.
- Other: Strong organizational and prioritization skills required. Attention to detail and accuracy a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills required. Able to communicate effectively In a small group or one on one setting.
The pay for this position is $24.00 per hour. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
