Cisco is looking for an all-star leader to join the Cisco Brewers Boston Seaport team as an Assistant Manager for the upcoming 2026 season.
The Assistant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-day operations of the property with the General Manager (GM) with a focus on quality, efficiency and profitability. The Assistant Manager is a direct supervisor of all property staff.
Beer Garden Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily bar and retail operations along with GM.
- Educate and encourage all staff and management to provide outstanding on-brand hospitality every day.
- Help plan and execute site-wide special events and activations.
- Manage labor and cost of goods levels to meet profitability benchmarks.
- Maintain the property in excellent structural and aesthetic condition.
- Onboard new staff to payroll and maintain time cards.
- Process payroll on time in an efficient manner.
- Monitor sales and track budget.
Private Events Management Responsibilities:
- Manage, coordinate and host private events that occur on property and market Cisco Brewers Seaport as the best seasonal private event venue in Boston.
- Communicate with prospective and confirmed private event customers including handling all planning and scheduling, building contracts and handling payments for each event.
- Solicit and respond to private event inquiries and maintain the private events bookings master calendar.
- Work with site management to ensure all private events are properly staffed and all necessary alcohol and other inventory is onhand.
- Serve as the on-site host and point of contact for all private event bookings.
- Process deposits, space fees, food and drink and all other contract payments for private event bookings.
- Communicate with site management and staff members to ensure excellent guest experience and smooth operations.
Retail Shop Management Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day retail merch and to-go bottle shop operations on the property.
- Empower retail staff to provide unparalleled hospitality every day.
- Build retail team schedule on a weekly basis.
- Hire and train superb retail team candidates.
- Manage inventory & backstock of all merchandise and coordinate with Cisco's merch team on weekly needs.
- Manage labor and cost of sale levels to meet profitability benchmarks with GM.
- Monitor sales and track merchandise budget with Cisco’s merch team.
Candidates must be able to start work by 12:00 PM on weekdays and have weekend availability for the entire season April through October.
