Property Manager (Bilingual) – Affordable Housing

Location: Roxbury/Dorchester, Boston, MA

Salary: $85,000 – $95,000

Our client is seeking a Bilingual Property Manager to oversee a thriving 200+ unit affordable housing community in the Roxbury/Dorchester area. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional who enjoys leading teams, building strong resident relationships, and taking ownership of a community while positioning themselves for future advancement within a growing organization.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of a large affordable housing community.
• Lead, coach, and develop onsite staff while fostering a positive team culture.
• Ensure compliance with affordable housing programs and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor occupancy, resident retention, leasing activity, and financial performance.
• Partner with maintenance staff to maintain community appearance and resident satisfaction.
• Build strong relationships with residents, vendors, and community stakeholders.
• Manage budgets, reporting, collections, and operational goals.
• Deliver an exceptional resident experience while maintaining a high-performing property.

Qualifications

• Previous Property Management experience, preferably within Affordable Housing.
• Experience with programs such as LIHTC, Section 8, Project-Based Section 8, or other affordable housing programs.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
• Strong leadership, communication, and resident relations skills.
• Experience managing larger communities (200+ units preferred).
• Proficiency with Yardi, RealPage, OneSite, or similar property management software.
• A proactive, self-motivated "go-getter" who is looking for long-term career growth.
