Responsibilities
- Deliver direct perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, including preoperative assessment, positioning, and intraoperative monitoring.
- Scrub in and circulate as part of the surgical team; maintain sterile technique, manage counts, pass instruments, and assist the surgeon as needed.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, manage equipment and supplies, and respond to changes in patient condition in collaboration with anesthesia and other team members.
- Administer medications and anesthesia-related agents as ordered; observe for adverse reactions and document all intraoperative events accurately.
- Document care and patient responses in the electronic medical record (EPIC experience preferred) and communicate critical information to the broader care team.
- Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled: every 5–6 evenings through 7:00 a.m. the following day and every 6th or 7th weekend; adhere to department policies and safety protocols.

Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license with NURSYS verification pulled within the last week; must show all licenses (past or present).
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification; flu vaccine required during the season.
- Minimum 1 year of operating room nursing experience.
- Documented travel nursing experience; first-time travelers will not be considered.
- Two recent manager/supervisor references in the OR (matching specialty).
- EMR experience preferred, specifically EPIC.
- Return-to-work (RTO) requests must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation.
- Driver’s license or state ID with address that matches demographics.
