Part Time Upper School English Teacher

2026-2027 Academic Year

Maimonides School, a K-12 Modern Orthodox day school in Brookline, MA, is seeking a part-time teacher for Upper School English classes for the 2026-2027 school year. (approximately 20 hrs/week)

Teaching responsibilities will likely include:

• 2 or 3 courses per week, including 9th or 10th grade English curriculum;
• 11th grade American Literature;
• Flexibility to teach other English classes, as needed

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Master's degree in English, Education, or a related field;
• Minimum of 5 years prior classroom experience teaching upper school English or related subjects such as journalism or creative writing.
• Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and instructional design tailored for high school students.
• Ability and experience to develop a range of students as critical readers, thinkers, and writers
