Litigation Legal Assistant/Secretary | Hybrid | Boston
Join a respected Boston litigation team supporting attorneys in a fast-paced practice. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant, Legal Secretary, or Litigation Secretary with strong Massachusetts court filing experience and a talent for managing deadlines, calendars, and case logistics.
In this Litigation Legal Administrative Assistant role, you'll play a key part in keeping litigation matters organized and moving forward efficiently through filing, calendaring, document management, and administrative support. The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant who thrives in a deadline-driven litigation environment and enjoys working closely with attorneys on active matters.
- Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office with 2 days remote) following a 90-day training period
- Compensation: $72,000-$105,000 annually, depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, format, and file legal documents in Massachusetts state courts, including Rule 9A filings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with court requirements.
- Manage attorney calendars, court deadlines, hearings, and filing schedules across multiple litigation matters.
- Coordinate litigation-related administrative activities, including scheduling, case logistics, document management, and correspondence.
- Support attorneys throughout the litigation lifecycle by maintaining organized case files and proactively managing deadlines and follow-up tasks.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Litigation Secretary, Legal Secretary, or Litigation Administrative Assistant supporting litigation attorneys.
- Demonstrated experience with Massachusetts court filings, including Rule 9A procedures.
- Strong understanding of litigation processes, court rules, and deadline management.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and legal document management systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
