Role Overview:
The Production Technician is responsible for assembling small mechanical components, performing quality checks, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and proficiency with small hand tools. Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and perform repetitive tasks.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in medical device manufacturing with strong potential for full-time conversion.
This is a full-time temporary position with the potential to convert to a regular employee. This is a Monday to Friday, 1st shift (5:30AM-1:30PM) position.
Responsibilities:
- Follow detailed assembly instructions and standardized manufacturing procedures.
- Assemble components and perform in-process quality checks to ensure products meet specifications.
- Work in compliance with company policies and FDA/ISO regulatory standards.
- Complete required documentation and basic administrative tasks accurately.
- Identify and report issues related to quality, materials, equipment, or processes
- Train and support team members on job tasks as needed.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to support efficient and safe production.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle small tools and assemble precision components.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, bend, kneel, and crouch throughout the shift.
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. regularly and up to 25 lbs. occasionally.
- Strong close vision and ability to distinguish colors for detailed inspection work.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and follow written procedures in English.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking.
- Experience with small parts assembly, medical device manufacturing, cleanroom environments, or other regulated industries is a plus.
Location & Work Arrangement:
This position is based in Bedford, Massachusetts (near Boston) and is an onsite role.
