• Job Title: Locum Tenens Surgical Technologist
• Location: Burlington, MA 01803 (Greater Boston area)
• Setting: Hospital Operating Room (OR)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Contract
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Day Shift – 4x10s (7:00am – 5:30pm)
• Weekend Requirement: 1 weekend per month (Saturday/Sunday)
• Call Requirement: Monthly scheduled call (Short Call, Overnight, Weekend)
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $2120–$2180

Surgical Technologist Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist Certification (CST or equivalent)
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist in a hospital operating room
• Robotic surgery and neurosurgery experience preferred
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• COVID-19 vaccine and booster required at time of submission (no declinations accepted)
• Flu vaccine required for staff starting after September 2, 2025 (no declinations accepted)
• Travel candidates only – local applicants not accepted
• Cannot have worked perm/travel for any Beth Israel facility within the past 6 months

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons and healthcare teams during surgical procedures in the operating room
• Prepare, maintain, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
• Support clinical staff during robotic and neuro surgeries
• Accurately document procedures and patient information using Epic EMR
• Participate in scheduled call rotations and weekend shifts as required
• Comply with hospital policies, infection control, and patient safety standards
