Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical/Surgical Telemetry (Float)

Location: Falmouth, MA

Assignment Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Rotating Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Hours: 36 hours per week

Pay Rate: $70 – $78 per hour

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) to join a float pool for a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will coordinate and deliver comprehensive nursing care, participate in patient and family education, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice.

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience

• Travel experience preferred

• Must be able to perform independent phlebotomy

• Strong IV therapy experience required

• Current Massachusetts RN License

• BLS certification (active)

• Completion of Medical/Surgical IV Medication Module

• Successful completion of Basic Arrhythmia Exam

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver patient care using the nursing process and best-practice standards

• Manage patients on telemetry monitoring

• Administer medications safely and accurately

• Provide effective patient and family education

• Document care in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) per policy

• Manage IV therapy, chest drainage devices, and epidural analgesia

• Care for post-operative, orthopedic, and terminally ill patients

• Recognize and report signs of abuse or neglect per legal requirements

• Respond appropriately to emergency and urgent situations

• Demonstrate strong time management, teamwork, and leadership skills

• Provide age-appropriate care for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients

• Adhere to all departmental policies and regulatory requirements

Education

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
