The Town of Brewster is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Driver for the Council on Aging (COA). This position is responsible for providing safe and timely transportation for our senior and/or disabled citizens to various locations and events throughout the Town and other surrounding communities.

Under the leadership of the COA Director the Driver will transport clients to and from various destinations, including medical offices, supermarkets, meal sites, and special events; assisting passengers entering and exiting vehicles when needed. Coordinates and maintains daily and weekly transportation schedule including keeping a detailed log of destinations and times. Coordinates and schedules part-time drivers as needed. Monitors the overall condition of the vehicles, reporting issues to supervisor, coordinates vehicle repairs and maintenance with Town mechanic.

High School diploma and a minimum of one year of experience in driving in various weather; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid driver’s license with a verifiable clean driving record required. The ideal candidate will be a compassionate team player with previous experience working with the senior population. This is a full-time, year-round 40 hour a week position covered by the Service Employees International Union agreement with a pay range of $25.54 - $31.42 per hour, starting pay dependent on qualifications and experience.
