CNC Field Service Engineer

Advance your technical legacy with a premier nationwide leader specializing in unique machine builds, CNC retrofitting, and complex machine rebuilding. This is a 100% travel role for an elite Field Service Engineer based anywhere in Massachusetts who thrives on variety and high-level problem solving. You will serve as a technical champion, tackling everything from component-level electronic repair to the full disassembly and rebuilding of major machine tool assemblies.

We are seeking a proactive technical master ready for a "road warrior" lifestyle, bringing 5+ years of specialized CNC service experience and an in-depth understanding of parametric programming and ladder logic.

responsibilities:

Comprehensive Machine Servicing: Perform a wide range of tasks involving the repair, operation, and retrofitting of complex CNC machine tools across various manufacturers.

Advanced Troubleshooting: Use precision test equipment to analyze and resolve intricate mechanical and electrical problems, including circuitry to the component level and servo system tuning.

Major Rebuilds & Retrofits: Disassemble, repair, and rebuild machine tool sub-assemblies, ensuring perfect alignment, leveling, and first-time power-up success.

Autonomous Field Operations: Independently organize and complete service calls, managing your own schedule, reporting, and customer communications with limited supervision.

Technical Mentorship: Train customers on advanced CNC control systems and provide guidance to other service technicians in the field.
