The Senior Coordinator, Brand Marketing is a key contributor to Boston Globe Media's presence in the Greater Boston community. This role supports and executes marketing efforts, community events, and key brand partnerships — connecting the Globe's journalism to the audiences who need it most.
Responsibilities:
Brand & Marketing
- Contribute to cross-functional marketing campaigns, including owning execution of curated weekly marketing emails and providing ongoing campaign support to the Director of Brand Marketing.
- Grow prospect database and newsletter subscribers through strategic media sponsorships and partnerships, supporting the execution of co-marketing campaigns that expand reach to qualified audiences.
- Serve as the owner of BGMP merchandise operations for events and activations — responsible for coordinating merchandise orders company-wide, ensuring brand standards, tracking budgets, managing vendor relationships, and maintaining inventory and forecasting needs.
- Partner with B-Side team to help lead and support growth of our Gen-Z brand and audience.
Events
- Support the development and lead execution of marketing strategies to promote community events through email campaigns, social media, local partnerships, and grassroots outreach, driving attendance and post-event subscription conversions.
- Build relationships with community stakeholders, venue partners, and local organizations to support identification of optimal locations and co-promotion opportunities that amplify event reach and attract diverse audiences.
- Manage event budgets, vendor contracts, and promotional materials while ensuring strong execution of concurrent events and activations.

Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in marketing (brand or performance), community engagement, or event support — ideally in media or publishing, but not required.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Comfortable in external-facing settings — from community events to partner meetings — and energized by building relationships across diverse audiences and organizations.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple campaigns and activations simultaneously.
- Experience managing budgets, vendor relationships, and promotional materials.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable working cross-functionally with editorial, partnerships, and leadership teams.
